This course introduces the concept of principles-based ethics, and contrasts that concept with the interpretation of the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and other authorities. It shows that compliance with ethical rules is of critical importance, but that the credibility and reputation of the accounting profession also benefits from an appreciation for virtues, good habits, and the "best course of action".
